Gadfield Elm Chapel

Does this make you appreciate your padded benches?
This is the oldest Mormon chapel in the world. It was originally built by the United Brethren. Both Brigham Young and Wilford Woodruff taught here. In 2004 the chapel was given to the church. It is used today as a meetinghouse and the upstairs has records of all the people who were baptized and taught by Brigham Young and Wilford Woodruff. We found one of Eric's relatives there.

Hi Mindy,
It was an Oakey relative. There were probably others, but that one popped out at us. Also, I'm sure the records are available over the internet, but I haven't tried to find them yet.

See ya!
